There is a rich history of extracurricular activities at Wildwood Christian Academy, many of which are unique to our small school environment. Students and staff have a chance to get out of the classroom to learn, to play, and to grow closer as a school community.

Wildwood currently competes at the middle school level as part of the NAML (North Atlanta Metro League) and at the high school level in the GISA Interscholastic League (Georgia Independent Schools Association).

In addition, Wildwood has teamed up with the North Georgia Falcons organization to offer larger team sports opportunities (football, baseball). View more information about Wildwood athletics.

-Beta and Jr. Beta Club

Wildwood has chapters of the Beta (Grades 9-12) and Jr. Beta (Grades 5-8) Clubs. The Beta Clubs mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

-Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind (Official Site) is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. Student teams bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level, competing against thousands of teams from the U.S. and 25 other countries.

Wildwood Christian Academy captured 1st and 2nd place in the state 2013 Odyssey of the Mind competition. The Wildwood teams headed to the World Finals, held at Michigan State University, May 24-25, 2013 and captured 5th in the competition.

“Wildwood has a history of winning at the Odyssey competitions, starting with our first competition (and state win) in 2008 and additional state titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013,” said Bill Shelnutt, Head of School. “Hundreds of hours of hard work and creativity continue to pay off!”
