residents enrolled in Georgia secondary or primary
public schools or those eligible to enroll in
kindergarten.
Students who meet current
standards and criteria for admission to Wildwood.
HOW MUCH?
Scholarship amounts are awarded on a sliding scale
and based on family income, household size and
scholarship funds available.
Total household
income cannot exceed $85,000.
Maximum
scholarship amount equals 85% of annual tuition, up to
$10,000.
HOW LONG?
Once awarded, GOAL scholarships may be renewed as
long as there are funds available, the student remains
academically eligible and the family remains within
income guidelines.
IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. All information about students receiving scholarships to Wildwood
remains confidential.
ARE THERE ANY CHARGES?
No. The scholarship is a program offered through the State of Georgia.
Georgia residents and companies as well as families that attend Wildwood
Christian Academy may direct a portion of their Georgia state income tax funds
to support the GOAL program.
These funds are then available to
students entering kindergarten and students transferring from public schools
to Wildwood. Scholarship funds are not subject to income or other taxes.
HOW DOES WILDWOOD BENEFIT?
Wildwood is able to draw from a rich reservoir of
students who otherwise may not be able to afford private
schools. Wildwood benefits by increasing the size of its
student body with students who want to learn. Their
smiles, experience, friendship and dedication will enhance
the Wildwood experience for all students.
HOW DO I APPLY?
Like all Wildwood applicants, fill out
all necessary forms and proceed through the assessment
process at the school admissions office.
Prior to enrollment, provide Wildwood with the documents
required for the scholarship (request letter, income
verification documents, etc.)
These documents are presented to the Wildwood Scholarship
Committee for consideration.
The committee’s list of recommended applicants is submitted to
GOAL Scholarship personnel for review and final approval.
A scholarship agreement is signed by GOAL, Wildwood and the
applicant.
