Application Process

Wildwood Christian Academy ("WCA”) welcomes your interest in our school! At WCA you will find a stimulating environment that encourages a love for learning and the development of Christian character.

Please feel free to contact us directly by calling our office, 770-893-3300, or by sending us an email to info@wildwoodchristianacademy.com if you have any questions at all regaring the application process.

VISITING THE SCHOOL

We encourage all parents and students to attend our Open House. The campus and buildings will be open to allow interested families to have a first hand look at our school. To arrange a visit at any time, you may call the Admission office at 770-893-3300.

ENTRANCE TESTING

Upon review of a completed file, an applicant may be registered for an academic assessment appropriate to the grade level or age. The assessment includes general school aptitude and achievement. The Admission Office will notify you of your student's assessment date.

FAMILY INTERVIEW

In addition to an entrance assessment, applicants being considered for acceptance will be contacted for a family consultation. An interview is an important step in the admission process at WCA. It should not be considered a predictor of acceptance. This is the time to learn more about WCA's distinctive education program and administration, to state your reasons for seeking enrollment at WCA, and to discuss your child's curriculum, extracurricular interests, special needs and expectations for student life.

ACCREDITATION/AFFILIATIONS

Wildwood Christian Academy is a private non-profit Christian school and is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Wildwood is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

ADMISSION COMMITTEE

Each student's file is reviewed by the Admission Committee. The Admission Committee meets in executive session. All discussions regarding applications are held in strictest confidence including reason for acceptance and non-acceptance. Admission decisions include the applicant's potential for success in our program and the parent's desire for academic excellence for their children in a Christian environment. Parents will be notified of their student's acceptance or non-acceptance. Reasons for either decision will be kept confidential within the committee.
