Success Sprung at Spring Event
Wildwood’s
Annual Gala Benefits School Programs
By: Melissa Lowrie
The
Parent’s Action Council of Wildwood Christian Academy
held its Spring Celebration and Auction on Saturday, May
8th, at Crust in Jasper. The funds raised will benefit
Wildwood Christian Academy with proceeds enhancing the
academic, spiritual, and social experiences for the
students. In addition this year, contributions will also
be made to several local community causes, including Big
Canoe Animal Rescue, CARES, Collaborations for
Resiliency in Children, and Hope House.
The
Live Auction was led by Frank and Rhonda Duffy, of Duffy
Auctions. The Duffy’s led a spirited auction with
bidders vying for a number of amazing gifts. Some of the
items that sparked bidding wars were an Apple iPad, a
Coleman Sea Pine Camper and a beautiful 10-week old AKC
Registered German Shepherd Puppy. In addition to the
Live Auction, the event included incredible food
provided by John and Cindy Lupi of Crust, music by Kelly
Hall, and a Silent Auction. The raffle drawing and the
ever popular “Heads and Tails” game rounded out the
enjoyable evening.
